Job Fair in Hetauda concludes on a positive note

The inaugural Job Fair in Hetauda, organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Bagmati Province Chapter, and the Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with Growth Sellers Pvt. Ltd., has concluded successfully. The event aimed to bridge the information gap between job seekers and employers, ultimately facilitating employment opportunities for the region’s youth.

Held on June 28–29 at Palpasa Assembly Hall, the fair received support from the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province. “The event concluded on a positive note, with the participation of several prestigious industrial establishments from Nepal and abroad,” stated Pramod Singh Ranabhat, President of the Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Over three dozen industrial and corporate entities participated in the fair.

The job fair was specifically designed to connect unemployed youth from Makawanpur and neighbouring districts, and to help retain those considering foreign employment. College students, job seekers and parents alike attended, demonstrating significant interest in both learning and earning opportunities.

Many participating companies reportedly offered job placements during the fair. Additionally, the event provided sessions on entrepreneurship advisory services, marketing training and insights into financing processes from banks and financial institutions (BFIs) for aspiring entrepreneurs. Panel discussions on various labour and employment themes were also conducted, featuring experts, policymakers, government officials and industry leaders.

Prem Bhakta Maharjan, Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport of Bagmati Province, inaugurated the event. The fair served as a unique platform for industries, corporations, job seekers and stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions on employment generation and to strengthen the crucial link between employers and prospective employees.
