Pant elected President of NFIA
Sunil Pant has been elected as the President of the Nepal Financial Institutions Association (NFIA), a forum of CEOs of finance companies. Pant is the CEO of ICFC Finance Limited. Similarly, Rabi Chandra Gurung, CEO of Pokhara Finance Limited, has been elected as the First Vice President of NFIA, while Rajoj Man Shrestha, CEO of Central Finance Limited, has been elected as the Second Vice President. Meanwhile, Uddhab Raj Thapaliya, CEO of Nepal Finance Limited has been elected as the General Secretary, and Narayan Subedi, CEO of Manjushree Finance Limited as the Treasurer of NFIA.
Likewise, Anil Shrestha, CEO of Progressive Finance Limited, Lilamani Neupane, CEO of Shree Investment & Finance Co. Limited, Santosh Kumar Ghimire, CEO of Gurkhas Finance Limited, Rajesh Kumar Shrestha, CEO of Guheshwari Merchant & Finance Limited, Rajneesh Kumar Singh, CEO of Multipurpose Finance Limited and Dinesh Kumar Sharma, CEO of Janaki Finance Limited have been elected as board members of NFIA.

Sanjeev Manandhar has been appointed as the CEO of Prime Commercial Bank Limited. Manandhar, who was previously the General Manager of the bank, was given the responsibility of Acting CEO after the end of the tenure of the bank’s long-time CEO Narayana Das Manandhar.
Sanjeev is a Chartered Accountant with 23 years of experience in the banking sector. He has been with Prime Commercial Bank for the last 16 years. Before that, he worked in the Financial Sector Reform Program at the Rastriya Banijya Bank implemented by the World Bank.

Md. Yasir Arafin has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited. A Bangladeshi national, Arafin earlier worked as the Head of Business Finance- CCIB of Standard Chartered Bank in Bangladesh.
Prior to this, he was the Head of Business Planning and Analysis (Senior Vice President) at BRAC Bank Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh from 2016 to 2021. He also worked as a Senior Manager, Finance at Standard Chartered Bank, Bangladesh from 2010 to 2016. Arafin began his career in banking at BASIC Bank Limited, Dhaka. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Dhaka. He is a Fellow Cost and Management Accountant from Bangladesh and Associate Chartered Certified Accountant from ACCA-UK.
