Gurung Appointed CEO of ADBL
Gobind Gurung has been appointed as the CEO of Agricultural Development Bank Limited. The CEO selection committee recommended three names to the board and the board decided to appoint Gurung the CEO to the post.
He is the former CEO of Civil Bank. Gurung has about 26 years of working experience in the banking sector. Gurung was previously the CEO of Myanmar Citizens Bank. He holds an MBA degree from Tribhuvan University and started his banking career at Himalayan Bank where he worked for 10 and a half years.
After that, he worked as a Senior Manager at Global IME Bank. After working at Global IME Bank for 3 and a half years, he joined Mega Bank as Deputy General Manage where he worked for two and a half years. After that, he joined Civil Bank and became Deputy CEO for four and a half years and later became the CEO of the bank. Gurung has experience working in foreign banks as well. After leaving the civil bank, he went to Myanmar to work in a bank there.
Pudasaini Appointed Chairman of ADBL
Ram Sharan Pudasaini has been appointed as the Chairman of Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL). He is a former Revenue Secretary of the Nepal government. The Ministry of Finance appointed Pudasaini as a member of the board of directors of the bank. Pudasaini retired from service last July after serving for 33 years in the Ministry of Finance and related agencies. He joined the civil service in 1988 and worked in the Ministry of Finance for 25 years. Pudasaini has also experience working in World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
Rathi Elected Chairperson of NICLBSL
Santosh Kumar Rathi has been elected as Chairperson of NIC Asia Laghubitta Biitiya Sanstha Limited (NICLBSL). Rathi, the NIC Asia Bank’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, has over 20 years of banking experience.
Shrestha Elected Chairman of Siddharth Premier Insurance
Suresh Lal Shrestha has been elected as the Chairman of Siddharth Premier Insurance which was formed after the merger between Siddharth Insurance and Premier Insurance. Shrestha was the Chairman of Premier Insurance. Similarly, Pawan Kumar Agarwal, Rajan Krishna Shrestha, Rahul Agarwal, Balram Shrestha and Rameshwar Prasad Basyal have been appointed as Directors of the company. Birendra Baidwar Chhetri, CEO of Siddharth Insurance, has been appointed as the CEO of the new entity. Likewise, Sudarshan Acharya has been appointed as Company Secretary of the company.
Bhandari Elected Chairman of Guheshwori Merchant Banking & Finance Limited
Yuvraj Bhandari has been elected as the Chairman of Guheshwori Merchant Banking & Finance. The 21st Annual General Meeting of the company elected Bhandari and other Board of Directors. Dr. Reshma Shrestha, Dipesh Gorkhali and Sujan Pradhan and Sajina Amatya Shrestha were elected as Directors.
Neupane Elected Chairman of Ridi Power
Sanjeev Neupane has been appointed as the Chairman of Ridi Power Company Limited. He is the son of Guru Prasad Neupane, who resigned from the company last month. Sanjeev is active in the hydropower sector for a long time. He has worked as the Executive Director of API Power. Similarly, Divya Koirala has been elected Independent Director of Ridi Power.
Pandey Appointed CEO of Nepal Investment Mega Bank
Jyoti Prakash Pandey has been appointed as the CEO of Nepal Investment Mega Bank which was formed after the merger between Nepal Investment Bank and Mega Bank. The was the CEO of Nepal Investment Bank. The bank appointed Pandey as CEO for the next four years.
